8/15, Cougars 1, Burlington 8

Just another bad game, well the Cougars lost 8-1 and it could've been worse as the Burlington Bees had 17 hits.

The Cougars scored one run on seven hits, leaving eight men on base. Getting four walks and not having one of them score. The one run they scored was unearned.

Kane County fell behind 6-0 before the sixth inning. Murphy Smith had a bad game, he gave up eleven hits and six runs in five innings. Matt Fitts' one inning didn't help much either, as he gave up three hits and two runs. Trey Barham did pitch two scoreless innings, giving up three hits.

In the third inning the Bees would take the lead with two runs. Ryan Wood led it off with a single to center, Yeldnys Molina then bunted him over to second. Patrick Norris would then singel to second, the ball would be deflected by Smith. One out later, David Wood doubled to center to bring home both runners. Thing went from bad to worse as the Bees would score four times in the fourth inning to really blow the game open.

With one out, Jose Bonila singled to right. Ryan Wood then doubled to center. Molina walked to load the bases. Norris would single to right to bring home both Bonila and Wood. Adrian Ortiz hit into a fielder's choice with Norris being out at second. David Wood singled to center to score Molina. Nick Francis followed with a single to center to score Ortiz.

Fitts just did not have anything today. Ortiz greated him with a single to second. David Wood then singled to right, and Francis walked to load the bases. Two outs later, Fitts would walk Bonilla to force in Ortiz. Ryan Wood then singled to short to sore David Wood.

Petey Paramore led the way with three singles, and a walk in his four at bats. Nino Leyja had two singles.
